ABOUT

Mary Votel is a portrait photographer who originates from Saint Paul, Minnesota and currently resides in New York City. Votel’s work is dedicated to people and places she finds a personal narrative in. Using contemporary and performative art, she also often photographs herself. Votel’s work explores relationships, hardships and self reflection.

Last year, Votel interned with Vogue Wedding photographer Collins Nai and also had featured work at the FIT museum. Looking ahead, Votel will graduate with a BFA from FIT and show her newest work entitled “I don't want you to come home Love, Mom” at the Senior Exhibition in 2025.
