Idris Castillo is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Chicago and currently based in New York City. In his work, Castillo explores the unstable nature of memory and its impact on human experience. He uses obsolete and formally imperfect recording technologies as well as experimental methods of displaying lens based artwork in an effort to emulate both the ominous nature and sweet qualities of recollection. Idris has exhibited video installations at Retail Pharmacy, and has had his work published in Interview Magazine.
